The 8 modules will cover evidenced based approaches and processes following the disclosure of sexual abuse and assault by a child/youth. The training is not intended to prepare participants to provide trauma assessment and treatment interventions, but to provide clinicians with an understanding of the dynamics in sexual abuse/assault cases, and a to obtain a comfort level to support and facilitate families to have positive outcomes when a child/youth experiences sexual abuse/assault.

The training will feature a trauma-informed approach and be delivered on both asynchronous and synchronous e-learning platforms, using interactive strategies.

Case scenarios will be used to highlight relevant practice situations.
